The exchange box can send internet mail. However the notes server cannot. The exchange server is the SMTP server. Is it possible to configure the connector (or domino) to send notes internet mail to the exchange box?
Somewhere in this forum i found that you can insert @SMTP in the emailaddress. e.q a.debruin@philadelphia@SMTP@exchange.
When i use this format, then i can send succesfully a message directly to the internet. However adding this to every internet message is not a great solution.
I'am still wondering if it would be possible to configure the notes server with a smarthost to the existing exchange 5.5 server and forwarding all messages leaving the local network
